In the drama, “The Gift of Me”, Tamara and Eugene Hill face any parent’s worst nightmare, the sudden death of their child. In the wake of this personal tragedy, the family must not only find the strength through faith to deal with this loss, but also to deal with family differences, among them, their own misconceptions about donation and deciding whether or not to donate their daughter Monique’s organs and tissues and give someone else the Gift of Life.

We see the family’s emotions move from denial and cynicism to acceptance and a sense of what is right as they deal with the death of their daughter Monique and decide whether or not to donate. Through discussion, the family develops a better understanding about donation and more importantly, each other. Even through the worst of family tragedy’s, good can be done and lives can be saved through the Gift of Life.
