To date, the Bear Open tournament, held in honor of George J. "Bear" Zenger, has raised over $150,000 in support of Upstate New York Transplant Services - specifically funding initiatives to increase knowledge, education and awareness surrounding organ, eye, tissue and blood donation. Through the Bear Open, The Zenger Group has become a major supporter of Upstate New York Transplant Services' Donate Life Program - an initiative designed to boost knowledge and awareness regarding donation and teach valued public relations skills throughout area high schools.
