Warsaw Community Blood Drive for Unyts

The Warsaw County community is teaming up with Senator Patrick M. Gallivan and Unyts to ensure that blood products are available for patients in need this summer. The demand for blood tends to outpace supply during the summer season, but Western New Yorkers have an opportunity to change that trend at an upcoming Unyts blood drive.

On Wednesday, August 8th the blood drive will run from 7:00am-6:00pm at Wyoming County Community Health System (WCCHS).  The Blood Drive is open to all members of the community. All presenting donors will receive two Buffalo Bisons tickets good for any home game and a free hot dog lunch.

“We are pleased to team with WCCHS for this important effort. In these summer months, when accident rates of all kinds increase, it’s critical that we keep our local blood supplies flush and prepared in times of need” stated Senator Gallivan.

Walk-ins are welcome or appointments can be scheduled at sponsor code 003004 or by calling WCCHS at 585-786-8940 Ext. 4441.

*As of January 1, 2012, Unyts operates under, d/b/a Unyts, WNY’s only Organ, Eye, Tissue and Community Blood Center. The organization is no longer Upstate NY Transplant Services.
