Rally in the Alley!

Thursday, March 7th, 2013

The Ali’s Rally Foundation was created by the family & friends of Alison Gerlach, a bright, athletic senior at Williamsville South High School who gave the Gift of Life through organ donation. The Ali’s Rally Foundation raises funds in support of Unyts’ Donate Life high school education program, which increases awareness of the need for organ, eye, tissue, and blood donation.

The 10th Annual Ali’s Rally at the Alley is Saturday, March 23 at Transit Bowling Lanes in Williamsville. Ali’s Rally is an annual fundraiser of bowling, raffles, food, and prizes.

There are many ways to get involved!

**Since its inception, Ali’s Rally has raised over $177,000 for Unyts.  Those funds are specifically designated towards Unyts’ “Donate Life” program, a school outreach program with the objective of continuing to make Western New York aware of the need for organ donation.

Not A “Spare” lane for the sellout crowd!

March 24th, Transit Lanes

Ali’s Rally is held in honor of Alison Gerlach, who upon her passing in 2003 donated her organs to those in need. Alison Gerlach was loved by many, and because of her willingness to give the gift of life back to others, her family partners with Unyts and others in honor of her memory by hosting Ali’s Rally. The proceeds from Ali’s Rally go towards the Unyts “Donate Life” program, which is a program designed to reach out to students and the community here in WNY to raise awareness for those who are in need of organs or other donations.

The sellout Rally held this year at Transit Lanes in Williamsville was a great success! Over 40 students from various local schools developed bowling teams. The support and contributions from those within the community was incredible. It was wonderful to see the bowling alley filled with T-shirts that said Unyts, Donate Life, or supported Ali’s Rally! Over 200 people attended, and with over 100 raffle baskets, there were many winners that day!

*The funds help Unyts share the message of organ donation through the Donate Life High School education program.
