We have had a lot of changes over the pa
st few years here at Unyts. I want to thank you for your patience as we grow into a larger, more efficient blood center better positioned to serve the needs of our community. I have noticed recently that our blood drive calendar seems to be filling up further and further in advance. As we near the end of February there are almost NO available blood drive dates for March or April! In fact we are already working on scheduling May. It is more essential than ever to plan your blood drives early – ideally at least eight weeks out! There are many benefits to scheduling this far in advance, most importantly it allows Unyts to provide you and your donors with the best possible customer service when it comes to preparing for your blood drive! So, as you look ahead to late spring and summer, remember to arrange for you next Unyts blood drive.
Book Out
Also keep in mind that you can book your drives as far out in advance as you would like. We find that it is beneficial for both us and you as sponsors to set up all your blood drives for the year as early as possible. Having another drive on the calendar allows our staff to help pre-sign your current donors for your next blood drive date. Therefore you could already have a significant amount of donors signed up for your drives in the future, making the recruitment process a lot easier for you! This also helps to engage current donors and encourage them to donate more times per year.
Did you know that if each donor gave blood just one more time per year that we would no longer have a shortage of blood products in WNY?
