Blood Services Scheduler
Part-Time Position – Flexible Hours
Responsibilities: Prepares bi-weekly staffing schedules for all UNYTS blood drive employees. Compiles and distributes schedules to all blood services and affiliated staff. Communicates schedule changes due to emergencies or sponsor requests with Recruitment and staff. Compiles vacation, personal and sick time requests from Blood Services staff, and makes schedule adjustments accordingly. Reviews and adjusts phlebotomist payroll. Provides data entry and data review of donor information to database. Assists with other administrative duties as related to the Blood Services department.
Requirements: Associates degree preferred. High School diploma required. Minimum 3 years experience in fast paced office environment required. Experience with scheduling/payroll a plus. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Blood Donor Phlebotomist
Certification required. Full time positions available. Currently looking for candidates seeking part-time positions that will include 2 week days and 2 week-end days per month.
Donor Screening Specialist
Two Positions Available
Call Center
Second Shift 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Third Shift 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
All positions are 5 Days per week and will include week-end and holiday rotations.
Responsibilities: Coordinates all activities related to donor referral telephone calls including evaluating donor potential and suitability, and coordinating notification of recovery staff as appropriate. Approaches family members of deceased to request donation. Inputs data in the computerized data tracking system. Coordinates activities with funeral home directors, medical examiners, and coroners.
Requirements: AS degree or Medical Office Assistant preferred. Previous experience in a clinical setting a plus. Must be proficient in medical terminology, and have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Experience with grieving families preferred. Data entry skills experience required. Bilingual skills desired. Evaluates referrals for suitability for organ and tissue donations.
